It's my favorite pick up because it encompasses what I love most about this hobby: it was a random records store find, it's kinda unique, and It's a super fun record to blast out of my stereo. What more could you ask for?
I think mine's probably the OG 1982 first Japanese pressing of Purple Rain on purple vinyl I picked up a couple months ago. Aside from being probably one of the "coolest" records in my collection I think it also might be the best pressing of that album that currently exists.
Mão Morta – Müller No Hotel Hessischer Hof because it was finally back in Portugal after 4 years, because I didn't knew there was a reissue on vinyl, because the man who sold the record to me is the one behind the label who reissued it, because it's a fantastic album, because it's limited to 100 copies.
Rosalia’s -Motomori keeps making it to my tt constantly. But I grabbed the Animal Crossing soundtrack from Japan and seeing my daughter’s face when she saw/heard it was pricelessly full of joy.

and Makaya McCraven - In These Times - because while its probably not my favorite album of the year (although for sure in the top ten) it is my favorite jazz release i picked up this year (including Blue Train Tone Poets) and because it got me to really dive in deep into his catalog which is really cool given the way he went about the album.... it's like a russian nesting doll that album.
