Earlier today I clicked on a preorder link saw $45 before shipping and thought, "I'm out."

I’m definitely at the point in my collection where I don’t think I need to add too much more to it and only need to buy if it’s a new release I really love

The prices are making me pause way more often

I've pretty much stopped buying new, but I absolutely love rummaging around used stock at record shops and typically walk out with 5-6 decent LPs for less than $50

Yeah, in 2022 I purchased three records. New YYY on preorder and thats it.

Circling back around to CDs and tapes.

Been collecting records off/on since 1979. It comes and goes.

New releases are almost down to none, crate digging for older albums, probably never, it's what I enjoy about the hobby over shopping Cogs. That said, I'll still search for bargains on older pressings on Cogs, which are also getting harder to find.
