I guess an extra pressing plant is good overall for the hobby. If it truly outputs audiophile quality pressings, this is good too. We'll see how it goes.

I'd guess it's a stay the same situation? I think this is a positive thing. More pressing plants the better.

my hopes is this was part of the previous price hike and we will not see another for a while.

David Rawlings as a Chief Groove Officer, but no definition of what he's going to do? Sounds like they are paying for his name to be used.

I wonder when/if it will ever meet the standards of audiophile grade pressing plant? Nothing in their history as a company has led me to believe that anyone that works for VMP currently has enough attention to detail and QC standards to actually produce an audiophile product in house. Hope I am wrong.

What if this is why vmp raised its price at first.. to slowly pay for this plus the more popular albums

I am pro-pressing plant. I have a hard time believing that VMP can live up to "audiophile" standards.

This is the first good thing I've heard from them in years

@GritNGlitter Given their history with QC maybe they should name the plant Double Rainbo.

(Honestly this is probably good news for VMP and the industry. Good for them. I hope they don’t screw it up.)
