I like the track with q-tip but I’ve not heard the rest yet. Now I’m expecting 50% limp biz and 50% papa roach vibes…

Hahaha! It’s not all of it but there’s a definite section where the guitar gets a bit heavy and the rhythm choices he’s made just give me that vibe lol!

There's even some 70's era rock guitar.

I think I'm the opposite. My expectations were low but I'm really enjoying it.

I think I had the same thought, but it was also giving me Alternative vibes and there was even one song that was reminding me of Battles’ Mirrored and Jimi Hendrix's “Are You Experiened?” at the same time. I think it's just going to take a second to wrap one's head around and I'm here for it.

I didn't pick up any of those vibes but that said I'm still on the fence about the album

There’s a few songs in row where there are crunching guitars and almost hip hop beats and he’s kinda shout singing. That combination is prime nu-metal to my ears…

I almost bought the 'moon' colored vinyl at Target yesterday. Been spending too much and too backed up on listening.

You're not crazy, I hear the nu metal guitar crunch and tempo pretty clearly. Some songs like Fear Of The Dawn give me some heavy GnR vibes. I don't hate it, it's just unsettling a bit.
