I curate my radio show via streaming services, and the way apple music sorts its playlists, with folders automatically at the top and automatically open when adding to playlists, means I have to click to scroll through hundreds to find the one I need.
@duke86fan the UI on Spotify is also bad, I'm impressed it's apparently not the worst.
@kvetcha yeah, but when I add something to a playlist, it puts it on the bottom. The first thing i see when i open my casual jams playlist are songs I added years ago. Not a fan.
@ayayrawn I gave up on Apple Music and switched back. Which is weird since I have a ton of apple products. Maybe because I'd gotten so used to the Spotify interface that Apple just felt counterintuitive.
@ayayrawn but you can edit the playlist and change the order in the app.
I guess it kinda makes intuitive sense to me that newly added songs would go at the end rather than the beginning, but I can see how that might throw off your workflow.
I got used to the Apple Music UI pretty quickly after using it. I’m with @kvetcha on newly added songs making sense at the end of a playlist. If I’m making a playlist I wouldn’t think to want the next song I add to go to the front of the list
It depends on the type of playlist. If it's my casual jams, where the most recent are new songs I've found, i like to have those at the top. Sometimes I want em alphabetical by artist. Sometimes old->new is good. That's there's no option, when Spotify's had it for 10 years is silly.
