I get preferring one format over the other and concentrating on the one, but looking at CD's as the "enemy"? I prefer vinyl, but A) Albums I just don't want to pay for B) Albums I want that aren't on vinyl C) Albums that are kind of want that can be picked up for a $1 or 2 and D) Poor pressings, if it's not coming from a reliable source/vendor I'll be happy spending less on a CD.

Of course all the above is due to a need for physical media, lol

@AnthonyI nailed it. I look at it this way - I have a lot of albums I listen to maybe 2-3 times a year. I can't really justify keeping them or spending $30-40 on another album like that when I can get a good sounding CD for a literal fraction of the price.
