While I support this I have to chuckle at the irony of using social media to denounce social media.

I deleted mine a little over a year ago. Best decision I’ve made

Did this for my birthday as a present to myself. Other than kids school stuff, I don't miss it.

I use it for my record hobby and to keep in touch with family & friends. There are definitely aspects I could do without.

I deactivated mine, but I use FB log in for quite a few different sites and as soon as I accessed one of those it automatically reactivated it. So now my internet browsing is a minefield as I switch over logins one by one..

Sadly I have to keep my Facebook account active for work purposes. But I only use it to gather statistics or to answer a question from a library patron when our Marketing person is off.

Went on an IG diet for Nov and Dec. Went back in and unfollowed about 90%. Now just a few friends and family who take nice pictures, and some local craft breweries. Feels great.

If it wasn't for a few family members that I stay connected with ONLY through FB, I think I'd be doing the same.

I deleted mine permanently about 6 years ago. I'm out of the loop on family stuff (everyone else uses it but me), but oh well.

I haven't deactivated mine, I just stopped using it for the most part. It has some useful local groups

Not a fan of facebook either... i dont have the messenger app on my phone and i'm so annoyed when someone sends me a message thru facebook and my facebook app is telling me i need to download the messenger app to read it. and I finally check it on a computer months later and it's a GIF of a turkey saying Happy thanksgiving or whatever.
