@waruv I go to Coachella every year and while these ARE big artists, I don't really have any interest in Billie or Harry. I miss the days when the festival was less pop and more indie rock and alternative but I still find plenty of acts to see.
Totally get it, though Billie and Harry skew closer to the Indie side of mainstream pop IMO, BC has the same issue for me genre wise. Big jump up from Tame/Ariana/Gambino at least.
i mean... its cool for billie to headline ANOTHER festival... will ye's show be good is highly up for debate.. the thing is the original lineup was rage and frank ocean (and travis scott but we still dunno if he is a good artist still or we should destroy him)... no matter what this was going to be a downgrade to not get rage and frank ocean
Take the money you'd spend on mega-festival and invest it in shows at your local independent music venues. You'll support folks in your local communities trying to stay afloat during the ongoing apocalypse, see shows in an intimate environment instead of standing in a field with 80K others, enjoy optimum sound quality and probably see 20 times the gigs.
Yeah. We do both. We've been to several local shows this year even with the pandemic going on. I really enjoy festivals and I miss them. It's perfect to see a whole slew of bands over the course of three days.
