I have a feeling this is my version of @Joe Mac’s aversion to Pink Floyd.

Except, you know, that Pink Floyd is, like, actually great.

Disgracing the memory of Mr. Misty, the delicious frozen treat from DQ in the 80s. At least when it gave you a headache you got a delicious fruit flavored slush to go with it.

I'm just gonna love him and his music even more to balance out your disdain for him

Not looking to stir the pot here or anything, but regardless of what you think of his music/him as a person, calling someone prissy doesn't really sit well with me. Yeah yeah, I know what the word *technically* means, but it's a pretty loaded one to use these days

New music's not even out yet, maybe it's more your speed :)

We share this aversion Lee! This is one artist whose popularity completely baffles me. I hear he’s a really sound fella IRL though, so that’s nice.

@Heath im gonna need some context because I only know its actual definition.

It's often been meant as a heavily coded insult when I've heard it. Like, I know what "flamboyant" means, but usually when people call me flamboyant that's not what they're trying to say. Not that I think you meant anything particularly bad by it, and maybe I'm just extra sensitive, but I felt like I needed to say something rather than let myself just stew over it all morning. But I'm good now...as you were!

I think I get what you are saying. Certainly not my intent.

I'd consider that word to be a microaggression of sorts. No one means to come off a certain way, but the word has deeper meaning that can affect some. Calling someone a p*ssy has the same connotation.

I do think FJM would get a kick out of a borderline offensive word being used to describe him.

Petition to just start using “pants” as a descriptor.

That newish Steven Hyden book about Radiohead refers to the band Suede as “swishy” and that seemed similarly not cool.
