Yup. It’s not terrible but also not memorable.

it's pleasant enough, but that's about it. Nothing about it would make me want to put it back on.

It's a odd one for me tbh first listen, not sure what's going on. Loved the first album, and remixes though!

@TenderLovingKiller® that’s the problem for me tho, it is so unmemorable to the point where it’s terrible bc of it

to me, solar power is absolutely the worst album of the year bc if you try to listen to it in a casual manner, every track starts to sound the same with no memorable hits or slowburners; but then if you actively listen to it, all you’ll find is the stale-ass commentary of a privileged caucasian woman. either way, you lose both instances

This is exactly right. I was grading papers while this was playing, and every song was indistinguishable from the other.

unofficially confirms that MDMA is a better drug than weed

Pure Heroine was Alcohol, Melodrama was MDMA, Solar Power was weed (going to be acid but had a bad trip)

I like the singles, but the album doesn't do a lot for me

I was expecting a better album as well. The most memorable thing about it is the album art. I def wouldn't spend $40 on it if I had it to do over.

I like it…it’s a calming, summer wind down record. But…I 100% understand the criticisms too.
