So your issue is that they're doing a crowdfunding with reward levels for backers? I mean, in any campaign-drive (e.g. NPR) the reward never has a value equal to the amount given. I don't care about this person and don't follow their YT channel but your issue is a bit off base. You say you didn't want to stir up drama but that seems exactly what the purpose of your update is...
