We were supposed to go in Summer 2020, so it's a long time coming.

@wokeupnew No, it was gonna be late May into Mid June, so just before I think. Now we've got the middle section of March on lock, just in time for cherry blossom season. Fingers crossed.

Which airline?

@Melt Face Molly Drop United. We had credit with them from our last Tokyo flight. Albeit this time we got our tickets for half as much, so I imagine we'll hang onto the rest a while longer.

Nice, hope it works out. That's a city I've been wanting to check out for some time. City sights aside, I just love Japan's impact on popular culture in general.

Hope it will be safe then. Kyoto shrines are beautiful (2 hours by train), but not sure they are worth it end of winter ? And of course the music shopping is to die for.

My wife and I have been there twice and were supposed to go again earlier this year. Maybe someday. The price is always super cheap from California. I don't think we've ever more than $500 round trip.

when I went last it was $1600/pp round trip from DC and that was with multiple connections through Canada.
