We had a bad radon test result a while back that scuttled a pending sale of our house. We didn't even know it until then, we'd lived there 11 years. So good for you!

Thanks, I've been meaning to do it for a while. Just assumed I'd have to install a remediation system but our rating was only 3.4 so looking pretty good...

Pffft, 3.4? You can fix that with some box fans and open windows.

I'm not sure when this house was tested before we bought it, but at some point they installed a radon fan. It goes from down here in the basement and exhausts at the roof. We have a tube that runs trough a closet and the backdoor/kitchen area.

Since they did all this, I'm sure it tested badly at some point.

@dansomeone yeah I mean it's in our basement that on average we spend about, maybe 45 minutes a day in... So I'm not really all that concerned. It would be nice to get than number under 2 but to be honest I'm not even sure a remediation system would get it that low...

@LeeVing well that's a good thing to have. Very few places have that.

I was told if it's under 4.0, you're ok. Ours was 11.9, yikes. The mitigation system brought it down to 0.6

Ours was 25.9. Our mitigation and crawlspace encapsulation brought it below detectable limits on the 48 hour test.
