Just to clarify, what generation of people don’t know The Thing? Older people? Like Gen X or Boomers? or younger the Millennial/Gen Z people? Just curious as I think it has more to do with how into Pop Culture people are as opposed to their generation. My team at work has folks spanning from Boomers to Gen Z and I promise you none whould have any clue what The Thing was.

I never thought of it as being a cult movie. All my friends know it, heck I even have the Blu-ray!

@gafacaode I think outside of the Halloween franchise the majority of Carpenter’s films would probably fall outside of your average persons movie scope.

If you’re a Zenneial then I am an Xenneial which sound like something you’d purchase from GNC to help with sex drive.

Dude, I am right there with ya regarding The Thing and it is well regarded in circles of people who really enjoy movies. There is a huge swath of people that don’t give a fuck about movies or music.That’s why I like this place so much. You all get me!
