I'm open for recs...

I also like J-Hus but Little Simz: Grey Area was really what opened me to UK rap after years of giving it the cold shoulder

try out dizzee rascals boy in da corner and no hats no hood edition I by DJ magic (only on bandcamp) to get a taste of the sound before you try it though.. also if you like pop smoke or other new york drill artists they are basically taking their whole sound from UK drill so try an artist like headie one

I dabbled in Dizzee Rascals back in college and I think and it didn't click BUT I'm do for a revisit. Have you heard Kano: Hoodies All Summer (2019?)

heard of kano but not really that album (i know he had a beef with flirta D in the 2000s.. will check it out)

also there is a great documentary by timbah.on.toast about flirta D that is very interesting and flirta is just an INSANE rapper

Word. Listening to Boy in Da Corner right now. The fact that it's 2003- I'm certain I listened to this a couple times in college. I was waist deep in the American underground (with friends in the Twin Cities scene) from 05-11. Have really lost touch at this point though.
