Find people to split the cost with. My family share a lot of subscriptions
Me: Disney+, Hulu, Spotify, PBS
Sister: HBO Max, Netflix, Prime
Dad: Youtube TV
@Woob_woob I used to pirate everything, but I don't have as much free time to do that so I pay for the convenience of it being instant. It also has gotten a little more difficult to pirate stuff now than it used to be like 5+ years ago.
@Memo yup! I pay for Netflix, Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ (one big bundle price). My girlfriend pays for Prime and Spotify. My parents still get cable so I use their login to get HBO Max, Peacock and any other cable channels for free.
My favorite site on the internet is my tv/movie site that I've been a member of for over a decade at this point. I pay for spotify for the convenience, but I refuse to pay for multiple TV streaming sites.
Folks complained for years about the high costs of cable and asked for things to be a la carte. Now they finally have it. It was never going to be like $1 channel.
Honestly I get how people are annoyed but I prefer it this way. I have a large amount of these services and still pay less than I did for cable. And most of the content I actually like and is more user friendly instead of 300 bs channels
yeah I agree with @wynn72 Cable is just outrageously expensive. I pay like $40~ for everything. which is fine. If there's anything I need to watch I can download it. The main benefit is being able to watch on demand. I can't imagine actually watching something when it airs on live tv except for sports.
