this seems a lot like an art vs artist debate.. if you cant click with the art because you hate how taylor acts that is totally fine. someone can be a great songwriter and be incredibly unlikeable
(and im not talking people with deserved shame for horrible things they've done a la R Kelly or Phil Spector, i mean more like someone thinks that Bono or M.I.A is a douche but still makes some pretty good art).
@duke86fan that is a really good point. I do have alot of issues with her directly but I think the reason I feel bad is that some reason's I have against her arent even her fault or in her control (like how critics overrate her and how insidious her fanbase can be)
These are interesting good points. Personally, I've decided to seperate the artist from the art and mostly have no big problems with doing that. There are many artists with whose (alleged) horrible actions or political output I wouldn't agree, for instance Marilyn Manson, Morrissey, Michael Jackson, slowthai, but whose music I often still enjoy a lot.
I think if you enjoy Taylor's music then just enjoy it without thinking too much about other issues. Folklore and 1989 are really great albums, my favorites of her.
