@Twentytwo Agreed. He needs reflection and growth. It's hard work but he needs to put in the work. At least for the sake of being a father. Also, I do believe in forgiveness and redemption and hope he can come out the other side one day. But it's a journey and must be earned.
@Endtro White privilege at it's finest. Mickey Guyton getting roasted on social media for not being real country yet Morgan keeps getting chance after chance. I just hate the cancel culture of social media. All of us have said and done some things we aren't proud of. I think at some point their just has to be redemption somewhere unless you are Donald Trump then all bets are off.
I don't necessarily think Morgan Wallen shouldnt have another chance. But THIS Morgan Wallen doesnt deserve another chance. If he gets some serious help, gets sober (if that really is a problem like it seems), and does some serious soul searching and rehabilitation, then maybe that Morgan Wallen deserves a chance.
@wynn72 He has to get sober. I mean, I can only imagine what people like Isbell and Barham were before they got sober. Maybe not racists, but probably pretty terrible people. As someone who had a sister who was addicted to pain pills for a good portion of her life, I can say that addicts don't care who they hurt.
He should rehabilitate himself for his own health but the world doesn't need to waste time following the progress of these kinds of people. Ingrained racism is a problem in society, especially so as an unconscious bias. Let's aim to fix that problem before we dump our time and money into privileged individuals. Plenty of other upstanding artists waiting to take his place.
