Which part is sad, that a murderer and sexual deviant is now dead?
“Spector's sons Gary and Donté both stated that their father kept them captive as children, and they were forced to simulate sex acts with his girlfriend.”
Not going to shed a tear over a murderer. He did produce a lot of good music. It’d sound better without that Wall of Sound shit though. CNN is reporting cause of death as natural causes TBD after autopsy.
I mean not for nothing, it’s kind of fucked up to see someone express sadness/grief and then tell them that’s not okay.
I don’t think “speaking I’ll of the dead” has anything to do with the dead, but having a modicum of empathy for the living who may feel differently than you do.
I find it hard to believe this status was bore from genuine sadness/grief for the death of the person but rather sadness for an end of an era and all the fruits he produced. If someone is a super fan in the way that people defended Michael Jackson’s actions in his death, then I do have empathy for those folks and the emotions they attempt to process.
I hope you don’t feel personally attacked or anything @Hollywood. Nothing personal, just discourse surrounding the art vs. artist discussion that tends to come up quite a bit. I appreciate Spector’s cultural contributions greatly and will use this as an opportunity to look back on those accomplishments and process my own emotions.
