ok, i just wondered because i know touching the bristles is bad bad and i wonder if its covered in oil

I mean, you want to try to avoid it. But it's inevitable that it'll happen, as long as you just try to avoid doing it it'll be fine. It's really just for people who don't know any better and try to clean the brush with their hands and stuff like that. I've had mine for about 3 years and I'm probably going to replace it pretty soon.

Well I’m a dumbass then. I wipe mine with my finger before every record, lol. Shit still works so fuck it, right?

@debianlinux TL;DR you are actually supposed to use the handle to brush over the bristles

@duke86fan my handle just clears the bristles on a hinge. The handle rotates to become the base and suspends the bristles. What you say can’t happen.
