Björk is an acquired taste (like all music is). I love her and even I will admit that not everything she does hits for me.

Doing the unexpected thing is part of it. But she definitely isn't for everyone.

In a way, it's kind of like what Aesop Rock does in rap- they both use your expectations of the way the rhythm of the vocals should be and bend/break those expectations. In both cases, I love it, but I totally see how it wouldn't work for many.

I totally get not liking Bjork's phrasing but goddamn I think she's one of the best singers ever.

I saw her when she was touring her worst album (Volta), and it was the best concert of my life.

@bettim84 Volta sucks, but that tour was probably the best. Voltaic is SO MUCH BETTER.
