Oh boy...the transformation from Joy Division to New Order when Ian Curtis (lead singer/writer of Joy Division) died is fascinating. If you ever get to catch Peter Hook and The Light live do it. He does a passable job as a singer now.
And "Substance" was just added back to Spotify, if you use that service. I think all of their albums have merit, but "Low Life", "Technique" and "Power, Corruption & Lies" are great records outside of the "Substance" comp.
Actually seeing an article about Substance being added to Spotify is what got me going down the rabbit hole. I listened to Power, Lies and Corruption and Get Ready so far (I know that's not a major album but a guitar heavy album sounded appealing).
