I loved wonderwall back in the day but it was hugely overplayed on the radio and then there was always that dickhead with the acoustic guitar at parties, you know the one...
Omg Joe, I know what exactly what you’re talking about with that last post! I can do imagine people with their guitar at parties singing and playing that song, drunk and sober, and just singing it loud and then others joining in and singing all the lyrics to Wondwall in an annoying voice!
Wonderwall is such a great song! But yeah, it would’ve been played on the radio heaps back then!
OMG Mayo looks so beautiful Joe! The beaches, mountains, countryside and overall scenery there looks absolutely stunning! I would love to visit that region! It looks so beautiful and serene there!
Yeah they are unofficial sons of Ireland. Huge fan of them. I know i am a hiphop guy. Though I do love a lot of other music too. It doesn't come across as strongly on this forum @NathanRicaud continued...
big fan of Oasis Gorrilaz Blur Libertines Arctic Monkeys Beatles Rolling Stones Queen Elton John Daft Punk Disclosure Guns N Roses Nirvana etc love 60s 70s 80s 90s music all genres. Mix of everything really ill give almost anything a chance but certain genres like Metal, Jazz etc i have never really got into @NathanRicaud
I’m biased but Galway is better haha! The wall between my family’s farm and the neighbours farm is the county border lol! Currently walking along a beach in Connemara, Glassilaun, and can see the mountains in Mayo across the Fjord.
Oh wow! That's crazy your family's farm is on the country border!
Enjoy your scenic walk along the beach! I just looked up Connemara and it looks gorgeous there! The small lakes and coast and mountains and plantation look so beautiful there! I am so jealous but am so happy to hear that you're enjoying it! Omg, and you can see those beautiful mountains in Mayo from where you are!
I am so excited to delve into Definitely, Maybe @nolalady ! I remember seeing the anniversary pressing for that album earlier this year/late last year on Urban Outfitters! It was grey coloured vinyl and I remember knowing Oasis was a much loved band, but never checked them out. Now, I'm definitely checking that album out!
Ohh 'county'! I totally misread that! I'm so used to the word region/state/province and forgot about the actual word 'county'! My bad haha
Galway looks so damn gorgeous too! I am really excited for when I finally visit Ireland. It's such a good-looking country and every traveller I've met in the past have only said great things about the country! Irish people are so friendly and sweet too!
Galway is my favourite place in Ireland too. I've been in every county in Ireland at some stage with my job or just visiting and Galway is the only place I'd personally love to live in other than Dublin (where I am from). Galway is amazing. The whole Connemara region is beautiful
Omg, get out @dbarila ! That song is genius! The “woo hoo” refrain gives the energetic song that extra ‘thrill’ factor! Song 2 is like a YOLO/live life to the fullest anthem!
I didn't say it wasn't a good get you pumped up at the stadium or arena song. I just meant it's not a good Blur song. Probably not even a top 20 for me.
I absolutely love Song 2 but it really isn't a "Blur" track at all. It was written as a parody of grunge music and it works amazingly well for me in its own right
