For the record, I don't believe that VMP is "holding copies" for Vinceron, but I do think they aren't doing enough to prevent Vinceron from grabbing loads of records purely to flip. And just blocking folk from their subreddit when they complain about it (not that this is VMP themselves) is not helpful

I went there today, read one post, had no idea what they were talking about, and left.

@A Lost Highway TL;DR - there's a flipper called Vinceron who was found to have 400+ copies of Tidal he was flipping on eBay.

@foks 100% agree.. even though tbh its more like food poisoning to me than delicious (drama around friend groups is one of my biggest frustrations.. its fun when we can laugh at drama together and not feel bad)

Sounds like Vinceron doing the same shit they always do. Definitely not new, and certainly not surprising. I see them on eBay and Discogs constantly. Any sold out or limited release there is, they have at least 5 copies to sell you.

I thought more people knew about Vinceron and didn’t think my post about MM Food would generate such a shitstorm hah. I don’t think VMP will ever respond to it when people press them about it but the whole thing is crazy. I agree they aren’t doing enough to stop Vinceron from getting so many copies.

It did give me the push I needed to re-cancel.

@kvetcha I got sucked back in for Spiritualized but I do feel a little dirty about it haha

@MikeH exactly the same here. I reupped end of July for 3 months because of BVSC and Spiritualized. I think that's the last time they'll get me. I'm running out of space on my shelf. :)

A little over a year after I canceled my membership, peeking back in on VMP drama is so...so...strange. I wasted a lot of emotional investment in how those guys chose to sell records, a lot of which I haven't ended up caring about at all.

I literally rejoined to ensure I got When the Pawn, which wound up not being necessary. I would say I regret the decision, but Classics introduced me to McCoy Tyner, so.
