I’m too nervous to watch. I hate how Joe gives bad people a good platform.

I rarely listen to him, but have a couple of friends and family who do. They vet them for me. My stance used to be along those lines... particularly because he can't intellectually spare on a level needed for those type of interviews.

But I also think he has stopped doing that as much, and that he gives a LOT of smart, important voices a platform in a format (long convos) that is far more conductive to intelligent thought than anything within our typical media. Which is part of the reason I love John Oliver's work btw.
