unlistened to as they’ve been sitting on the shelf for 3 years or they just came in?

@feesrevenge just came in and cleaning before I even play them once

I only have 6 LPs to clean when a spin clean can do 20 and I wonder if it's worth it doing this stuff every month or just listen then and put them in a to clean section until I got enough

@duke86fan i understand. I clean everything before a needle hits it. I have a to be cleaned stack as well.

sometimes that stack can get pretty deep but I’ve also been knows to bust out the spin clean for 3 records...just depends on how badly I want to listen to what’s in the clean pile.

If I know something is coming in in a day or two I’ll wait just so that new one doesn’t have to wait forever.

also, spin clean can do about 50 records per wash depending on how dirty the records are

@feesrevenge the towels though... not so much

i just dont wanna waste all my cleaning fluid on so little records

If you don't listen to them maybe consider selling them to make room for stuff you will listen to!

I put new records in a pile until there are enough to justify hauling out the cleaning gear.

I use a Spin Clean and just leave the fluid in there until it's time to change it. I often wash just one record. I take the brushes out when not in use and rinse them under hot water then let them dry until next time. Don't agonize over this. Records are supposed to be fun.

@High Rant District but i thought you only keep the water and fluid in there for about a day or so, not for a long time

especially since you are supposed to remove the fluid every time your done

@duke86fan I believe spinclean says a week. I’ll be honest, I usually have a bath in for about two weeks. Until it starts to smell funky or look dirty. it should be okay.

@duke86fan I'll keep the fluid in there for a month or more if it isn't filthy. I rinse the record under the faucet to remove surface dust and such before Spin Cleaning so it lasts a while for me. Don't sweat it.
