Oh crap, hopefully puppy is calming down. Ours has panic attacks and anxiety issues. If she was not on leash outside and heard a car backfire she would be gone. Puppy xanax

She's totally back to normal now but she's been weird all day. We're having reno's and there's workers here and noises and something has just spooked her. That was awful though, fuck.

Glad you and the pup are okay. But now I have “pandemic Monday” set to the tune of The Bangles’ Manic Monday stuck in my head...so thanks for that...

I'm not gunna say that wasn't at least slightly intentional... Mainly because I do too so YOU ALL MUST SUFFER WITH ME.

Every dog we've had has come from a rescue, the pound or a shelter. They're a bit mental - for good reason, I suspect - and you never know when the demons are gonna kick in. Our first rescue went in the neighbors house one day, hid underneath a chair and wouldn't come out. Acted like she had no idea who we were. Left her alone til the next morning and she was like nothing ever happened.

Yeah man, this is rescue two. She's a skittish one. This is the first truly nuts thing she's done. I love her to death but fuck that was scary. She can jump and that fence was only about 4 feet, she jumps it and no chance man she's gone.

One of our rescues was a lab mix with 5 pups. Adopted 4 of the pups, couldn't find homes for the last pup or the mom so they became ours. Once the mom got out of the back yard and disappeared. Searched everywhere for days for that dog. Her pup was totally distraught. Nine days later she came walking down the street, turned in the driveway and went up to the gate to get in the back yard. I wish she could have talked.

And good on you for giving needy dogs a home. There's a special place in heaven for folks like that.

You too friend. We can't have kids and honestly I don't think there's anything more wonderful than watching these pups come into their own. It's incredible.

Mather - i know the feeling. It is just so effing stressful. Not that this prevents them from running away, but I figure if it happens, it helps people get them back to me. I have these collars for my boys.
