What's Spinning

Frodus- F-letter

How this album made its way to Glasgow I never know. Probably something my pal picked up from a Kerrang! review. One of the lesser known alt bands of the 90’s thet we gravitated to once mainstream alt rock moved to nu metal. The vocals might not be to everyone’s taste (bit shouty), but I really enjoy this album.

I'm probably gonna be streaming this on repeat all weekend - I'm not even through side A and it's great.

And for a Precision/GZ pressing it sounds great, too.

Even though the trailer uses the "Featuring music by MGMT" wording and plays their track "In the Afternoon" - it's only Andrew VanWyngarden on this score, no MGMT tracks. The 5 tracks he did for this isn't available on the streaming version of the score.

I haven't seen the movie - probably will never get around to it. For some reason there was a "let's make everything purple" thing that went on in a lot of indie sci-fi/horror movies that doesn't always work for me.
