Slip Mats

I have a million felt mats from labels and such sending them to me, I have two cork mats too, I thought I had a leather TMR one but if I do I have know idea where it is. I currently use my Blue Note Review 1 cork mat, I have the VMP one too but it came warp (shout out to @Mather) and despite several attempts thus far it always returns to the warped shape, but with how things currently are in life that is fine. I don't think I am going to upgrade/think about upgrading until I upgrade my TT

I have Funk Achromats on both of my tables. They aren’t the least expensive option, but *I* feel they are worth the price. And are no where near the most expensive options either.

My old local shipped me a slip mat that they came out with after I moved from Columbus to Tampa. There are a lot of things nicer in Florida...but Columbus has some awesome record stores.

What do you use? I've got a cork one. Anyone tried leather? Any merit to them?
My Pro-ject Classic came with a suede one. I never really considered slip mats before, but I must say the reduction in static compared to my old felt one was dramatic. Never have to peel it off when removing a record again. To me it is worth it.

I bought a Cork 2-piece slipmat last year for my Technics 1200G but I was reading about Technics Rubber mats actually being sought after and how great quality they are so I switched back. Honestly I couldn’t tell that much of a difference really.

Hi there, I'm looking for a new mat and I am curious about the Funk Firm Achromat. I checked out their page and there seems to be an Achromat specially designed for Technics 1200s (see the link).

I'm unsure whether to purchase the 5mm thickness or the 1200 edition. Is there anyone to give a recommendation? Thank you in advance

If you have a 1200/1210/1500 or any of the Audio Technica/Pioneer derivatives, the lipped Achromat fits perfectly.
