It’s cool. Probably not something I would throw on often. It was a great show though. But that 2 LP set probably costs about the same as the ticket I paid to see it live, which is crazy.
Man, you guys weren’t kidding about the RSD prices. Picked up a couple of things, but not as many as I would have. I saw that Sweetheart of the Rodeo show live, so those memories will have to suffice.
3rd stringer looked really good from what I saw. But, it’s hard for me to really gauge things when a team is playing itself in an exhibition game. Hopefully the recruits on hand had a good time and liked what they saw.
The bit where UK acts book a North American tour that basically takes them in a straight line across the country (with a slight detour to Canada) is getting old. I mean, I understand they can’t hit every major city in the states, and the costs of touring are a major factor, but still…
I’ve been listening to the World Party best of comp “Best In Show” a ton since Karl Wallinger passed. “Goodbye Jumbo” would also work, but “Best In Show” is a fantastic, concise best of overview for the band.
Just back from catching the album release show for Alejandro Escovedo’s “Echo Dancing”, which is out today. I haven’t seen Al live in about 5 years. Different sound for this record, but his touring band is terrific.
