Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Yeah, I’ve heard the album and I absolutely love it! The storytelling is incredible and I love Alex Cameron’s vocals! And the production is very quirky. It’s actually one of my favourite albums this year so far!

@Joe Mac - Have you heard this new Alex Cameron album? I’m sure you’d love it as I get Morrissey/The Smiths vibes from it! 😍

Never heard of him @NathanRicaud ill try it out at some point. The misty comparison abovemakes me nervous though, can’t stand that tool...

I like some of Father John Misty’s music though. I really enjoyed his albums “I Love You, Honeybear” and “Pure Comedy”.

Why don’t you like Father John Misty? I’m guessing he had a bad personality? Or is it that you can’t stand his music?

I should like the music but it’s utterly polluted by his affected persona. I just absolutely can’t stand anything about it or him as an artist...

Affected persona? Do you think he’s very pretentious?

Yeah he’s massively pretentious! His stage personality is deliberately twattish. I deal with enough pricks in life I don’t need to listen to someone being one on record, whether it’s an act or not. Everything about him and his act just grates on every sensibility I have. His persona is the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard for me.

Morrissey *cough* 😄

Oh yeah Morrissey is a dick and I don’t have much time for middle aged racist him or anything he’s done in well over a decade. I don’t accept that for The Smiths though, they were genuinely wry, funny and one of the us rather than mocking us. Also Johnny Marr saves The Smiths for me.

I just feels really affected for me.
I feel like I totally understand you now! I can see it myself too. Like it sounds a bit show-ey/put-on.

Omg, I wish we could just be together and have all these conversations in person and spin vinyl. It would be the best thing ever!!!

It would be a life-changing experience for me! I’m sure it would be! Haha

So we're expecting the Stones exclusive to drop around 10am mountain time? Is that right?
I'm assuming it'll be shipping in February and actually ship May/June?

I hope it’s a nice package for everyone in for it. I’m out though, I’ve pre-ordered the one with the mono and stereo LP, mono and stereo SACD and the Honky Tonk single. Yeah I’m Joe, I have a problem...

This album is fantastic, but the colour of the record isn't the only thing VMP messed up here...

She was born in Zambia, not Botswana. I have the 2xLP colour pressing in red and green (colours of the Zambian flag) and it sounds great. It's her second album, not her debut.

It is a 19-track, 78-minute album, but the VMP pressing states 1xLP and 11 tracks. You're better off picking up a copy from Ninja Tune - The Return by Sampa The Great
