Got this opener in Secret Santa a couple years ago (thanks again, @CrazyDiamond84), and I’ll use it tonight to toast Dame’s awesome career as a killer and one of the league’s best shooters. I was looking forward to the Dame-Giannis pick and roll, and it just never materialized. I hope he comes back, but I suspect the Dame we knew in Portland is gone. What a bummer.
I'll still cling on the hope of a miracle 3 game run, but this Pacers team is a horrible matchup for the Bucks. Bummer the Giannis/Dame experiment never worked out as it sounded great on paper.

Love Dame and always rooted for the Blazers when they werent playing the Nuggs. His inability to develop chemistry with Giannis was disappointing and I hope Jokic doesn't wait a season too long to ask out if its clear the Nugvets cant get it done (as Ive already said here).

His injury was the only part of these playoffs that has been the antithesis of lit.

Nuggets looked like world beaters last night. Too bad that Murray can’t be as consistently great as Joker is. And what the hell did Westbrook eat for lunch yesterday? Feed him more if it!

Zach Lowe talks about that Blazers run to the WCF (‘18?) - I loved that Dame postseason! Those walk-off 3s against OKC. As well regarded as Dame is, I think Steph’s brilliance has really overshadowed how good Dame has been.

That post season was painful as a Nuggets fans but Jokic and Mal were babies and learned from it and that series is an all-time fav. The triple OT game turned my Dad and best lady friend from HS into Nuggets fans.

Mal being healthy and looking like his old self will do that. I'm still extremely skeptical that a team that is relying on Westbrook and DJ as it's main bench prices can make a real run, but they certainly looked poised to get out of the 1st round. And we matchup decently against OKC.

They are gonna need more from Watson. And AG and Mal have to stay healthy.

The West semi playoff bracket is basketball 9/11

I'll never understand your ability to so easily hate on other small markets, division aside.

I'm rooting against OKC to win it all-- but only because winning now would mean they keep all their resources and become a dynasty.

Meanwhile, I'm rooting for the Cavs and the Wolves if and when the Nuggets lose to the Thunder. Yes, the Wolves. The team that knocked us out last year and owns us this season. I love Tim Connely, Mike Conley and the Twin Cities too much to have any real hate. And I'd enjoy seeing Rudy prove the haters wrong.

I'm ecstatic the Lakers got smacked, glad the Nuggets made it out of the 1st round so that the Jokic slander doesn't escalate. But I highly doubt we can beat OKC with Jokic's elbow seemingly banged up and MPJ playing with one shoulder.

That said, it sure would be fun to see Westbrook go on a redemption tour and get a ring. Maybe both the Rockets and Nuggets can pull of a miracle?
