Definitive Audiophile pressings

I don’t think there’s any way Chad doesn’t release this, given his recent relationship with Verve/Impulse. I would bet this gets released sometime 2023 and Center Stage (owned by Verve) was just selling their TPs. They also sold the Roy Haynes “Out In The Afternoon” AS TP that doesn’t have a release date yet per AS. I have a hard time believing Chad would pass up the opportunity to make a lot of money in this one, especially if they’ve already gone through the process of mastering, cutting, and test pressing it.
The Roy Haynes was actually the vital vinyl reissue test pressing. Someone on hoffman got it and thought it was the AS but wasn’t

Edit: but I agree with ya. I’m sure it will come out and verve just jumped the gun. But it hasn’t even been announced yet and someone on the VMP discord claimed that another shop was selling a TP of it and said AS was having some issues and were maybe going to pull the release

I saw that people got both of the Haynes’ but it was a crapshoot. Some got the old version and others got the AS.

Ah interesting! I had only seen people complain they got the vital vinyl test pressing.

I might put the test pressing in my VMP sleeve and have a Franken-copy
Lmk if you do a shootout! I have a pretty clean original that I love but have only compared it to the standard reissue, which was only OK. It’s easily one of my favorite albums but have never considered it audiophile, though I’m sure some of today’s mastering engineers could make it sound spectacular.

Friday Night in San Francisco
Saturday Night in San Francisco

and several of the Intervention Records are on there (not a great deal on those though).

I don't have saturday night but friday night is a stone cold classic. it's hard to find for a reasonable price, too. I picked up a used copy from the amazon warehouse for (what I now recognize as) an absolute steal, something like 12 bucks or something silly like that. easily one of the best sounding records I own, flat and silent until the guitars chime in.

I'm thinking of starting a subscription service for my comments. For $10 a month you can read each of them as many times as you want and for $15 I will actually comment ON YOUR ACTUAL POSTS HEY WAIT WHERE ARE YOU ALL GOING

For that I’d want permanent inebriation for constant night guy entertainment…

I would pay this. But you have to do videos on YouTube. And vape while you do it, with an affected German accent and the airs of a refined connoisseur.

YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?
