Weezy (right) has officially moved on up. She was a well loved member of of our pack for about 8 months, during which we treated her for frostbite, a foot injury, a broken tooth, and heartworm, in addition to a biopsy for a growth (benign) and getting her spayed, on top of her body still rebounding from having given birth before she was abandoned in the alley behind our house. And she was an incredible sweetheart every second of the way.
We never really planned to keep her forever, even if it sometimes seemed like maybe things would end up that way. But as of yesterday she’s in a new home with a family all to herself, and they all seem happy.
We did it. We successfully fostered a dog, and gave her the shot she deserved at a happy and healthy life. The house is quieter today, but kind of a peaceful quiet.

So I pre-ordered a Bird Buddy for my wife back in March, they initially thought it would ship by September, which is when her birthday is. Anyway, there were a couple delays but it arrived this week and it only took a day to get our first visitor; a black-capped chickadee.
