I’m a bit biased…but I preferred the 2020 Kevin gray cut to the VMP pressing. Should still be able to find it for cheap (probably even cheaper than the current VMP sale price).

Yep. These and the Prime Prine rocktober that Bernie cut are all really excellent. So glad they got reputable people involved in reissuing his whole catalog pretty much. My wife introduced me to John’s music when we first met 5 years ago and his music was pretty tricky and expensive to track down on vinyl. Now we have nearly all of his records

thanks! I might pick it up if the 25 off 100 sale is back on soon. saw Fleet Foxes this weekend and they covered Under Control by the Strokes and it made me relisten to the Strokes the rest of the weekend haha. Forgot how much I enjoy Room on Fire
That’s awesome! I saw Fleet Foxes not too long ago and they didn’t perform that.
But this pressing made me fall in love with the album all over again. Highly recommend it.

I think it's because they were in NY and Robin mentioned that him and the opener Uwade both bonded over their love of the Strokes on the tour. Such an awesome show though. They played for well over 2 hours.
they also came out with a costume change half way through the show to all wear tennis gear since it was at Forest Hills tennis stadium haha.

doh...went to check out the 25 off sale again and lightnin hopkins is sold out. can't really find a third album to add anymore so will probably end up sitting it out! some items say in stock but for some reason aren't part of the sale.

$26 for a GZ pressing vs $45 for a GZ pressing is a pretty huge difference. I have plenty of non-AAA pressings...i'm not the one that tried to start the boycott on reddit lol.
Pretty sure back when this was announced, I recommended that people get either the Pure Pleasure Lightnin in NY album or the APs because both were cheaper than a one month of the VMP title...
