Johnny Dankworth/Johnny Scott - Jazz For Moderns (BBC Transcription, 1963 First Pressing)
This is absolutely killer. Recorded as part of the BBC's "Jazz For Moderns" series and pressed in under 100 copies with an expiry date for them to be destroyed (clearly this one wasn't). It's fantastic and Dankworth's big band rendition of Bobby Timmons' "Moanin" is jaw-droppingly good.
Just picked this up for a great price on Discogs! They shipped the second record out of any sleeve. Tested it last night seemed fine. I’m giving it the full spin tonight.
