What's Spinning

I'm going to sound a little like @NathanRicaud here, but this album is pure killer. Axelrod is the master, classy funk that is on fire. Emotional & so so sexy (except for the very unsexy picture of the Axe himself on the back & the rather shitty brown colour vinyl :) ). This is the re-issue of the year. Absolutely worth every penny. it's pressed beautifully & sounds gorgeous...I want more. I want all the other Jazz dispensary ones now, will they hold out to swaps???

I had this on cassette and listened to it over & over when it first came out.
Such a great album
Picked the 25th anniversary remaster up cheaply along with Monster (bloody love that album too).
Can see a few more being added to the hit list.
Rarely listen to REM but this reminds me of how brilliant they are/were.

I donā€™t think that there is an an album that I recommend to people more often than this one. Joni is the equal, or better, of all of her peers and I canā€™t wait for the day that the world venerates her as such!
