Yeah, bummed I missed this, just saw the email about 40 minutes ago and it was gone already.
I guess Im ok with the indie variant
This type of marketing can really get old. Saw it at about 7am local time (got the email at 5:10am), clicked over to order, and its......sold out.
Given John Prine’s current fan base why only such a small amount. So many better ways to do this so more fans can have one.

Wow, that's especially surprising since the Orange exclusive from Vinyl Cup Records I posted last week was available for at least a couple days before selling out, and that was of /500.
I'm not familiar with either Oh Boy or Vinyl Cup, but I do know that Vinyl Cup is a really new store, so maybe Oh Boy has a much wider reach - marketing wise.

Fantastic. Thanks! Went for black vinyl, but all were still in stock. The only other one I have is Head Trip In Every Key, but that's my favorite of their albums.
Oh Boy is John Prine’s official store. So a #ed exclusive is an instant buy from Oh Boy for his dedicated fan base that is huge at this point.
On the other hand, thanks for posting the Vinyl Cup link. I grabbed one of those after you posted.

You're awesome. Just ordered as well. No tax and very reasonable shipping, brings it to not much more than Bullmoose and love to support Prine directly
I should have known it wasn't put on sale yet or something. Email going out at 5:10 in the morning and 1,000 copies of something being sold out by 7:30 even if it is John Prine is a huge stretch.

So! Speaking of charities I read an article (lol I watched a TikTok) and giving money to a corp for charity reasons such as MusicCares, means VMP is donating the money, not you. So their taxes are diminished due to the charitable contribution... something to think about.
