Betty Davis - Betty Davis (Light In The Attic, 2017 VMP ROTM Pressing)

I just pulled this record out later today (to sell) and was surprised by how many extras came with it, including a decent booklet, the art print, the drink recipe (on full 12x12 card) and a colouring sheet. While I like the music on here I just haven't played it in so long and never really have the urge to. With that being said, I really enjoyed this final spin. I might end up picking a cheaper reissue in the future if I come across one, but for now someone else can enjoy this set.

Another that I really enjoy but just don't spin enough. And another fantastic set of extras, this time with a really detailed booklet of interviews, download card (mine had 2 separate ones for some reason), etc.

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

#223: Miguel Ríos - Rock and Ríos

This live record by Spanish rock singer Miguel Ríos was one of my mother's favorites during my childhood. Putting this on brings back memories of Saturday mornings at my parent's house.

Steve Earl ‘Just An American Boy’. 2016 3LP/5 live sides and an etching on side 6.

Really liking this. Killer performances. Good enough live sound. Not audiophile but the atmosphere of a live concert still comes through. Earl’s raspy voice anchors the stage with the right amount of crowd noise.

And, a unique (to me) cover design. Three sleeve pockets but the center is removable with added info/pics. Like two gatefolds in one. Nice.
