This was one of my favorite albums when it was released, then came out Nothing Is Wrong and followed that great formula, but for me the band fell through a little bit after that. Still, this is great and you should listen to it.

I love this record. Was lucky enough to get a copy over in the PIF thread and it's really great.

Day 19 - It’s A Small World After All

Ali Touré Farka - Ali Farka Touré (Sonafric, 1976 First Pressing)

I was tempted to spin a William Onyeabor record for this day but seeing as I have already picked him, I will go for Ali Farka Touré. This is a sensational album and one that I was able to get at a crazy cheap price. Killer music!

My collection #80

Antonio Sanches - Buli Povo

This is an amazing album, taking the traditional Cabo Verdean funana song style and updating it with synths, frantic drumming and slightly mad vocals. One of my favourite albums, and big props to Analog Africa (not just for the reissue but introducing me to more amazing music from this African archipelago). Cross post from Feb challenge.
