if people are going to continue to listen to Michael Jackson, I think I feel pretty good morally divorcing the art from the person for Mark

The judgement there wasn’t on people choosing to listen to his music still it was on him. I’ve never had to attempt to divorce the two with him because the music never meant much to me, Ive has a much harder time with RA, still own the records but equally still had no desire to play them since the revelations.

honestly, I almost included Ryan Adams as an aside in my response, but decided to keep it about Mark Kozelek as his music (RHP-Benji-ish) has meant the world to me.

OMG, I can’t believe D’Angelo got #1 place! I’m so happy with that! 🔥🔥🔥

And as soon as you said this week was 2009 @Woob_woob, I knew the first video you were going to post was going to be an Animal Collective video! 😂

I’m a little surprised you like Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix so much! I really like that album as well, but I just remember so much people negatively criticising that album. So much people’s reaction in the forum was 😒🙄 when that album got selected as the Essentials ROTM!

And I dunno, I just assumed that the Phoenix album would have been too ‘pop’ sounding for your liking after looking at your lists and what albums you like!
