Two Point protractor - will overhang be correct just by using this tool?

One question ive always wondered about - when you use a two point protractor ( Say, Ortofon's ) Will overhang be correct if the stylus is correct at both points?
Or, will i need an overhang gauge as well?

It should be correct. The arc between both points is assumed- if both points are correct, everything in between should be too. You shouldn’t need anything else.
