Pete Townsend is his own worst enemy. There are some great live bands who have members who just won’t shut up and it really brings the show down. In the run from Tommy to Quadrophenia he would often spend 2-3 minutes between songs explaining what the song actually means or is about.

One of their two pretty much perfect albums for me. I’d probably have “Rum, Sodomy and the Lash” edge it but that’s no slight on this one at all.

Also has that Christmas song on it, which is one of the few overplayed songs in the world that I still like.

I've never actually listened to much of The Pogues. To be honest, I always thought they were kind of gimmicky. However, this album has proven me wrong. There are so many great songs on here.
