Connecting Record Player to Home Theater Speakers

So, I'm due for new speakers for my record player...and my TV. Getting both at the same time would be tough. I'm thinking of getting a semi-nice surround system for the TV. Can I connect my record player to this? I have an AT120. Thanks!

Yes you can because your A/T has a built in phono preamplifier.

So, I'm looking a the Vizio Elevate. It only has HDMI Arc and Digital Optical inputs. How does this put a wrench in my plans? Are ther quality RCA to Arc converters?

If your receiver doesn't have optical in then grab something like this...

I recalled this rec for converting digital to analog. But, you need to do the opposite, convert analog via RCA to digital via optical, which is something this unit does. I can't speak to the quality, however.
