I probably did overbuy... but the shipping cost meant that I didn't want to run short. I've got places to hide it on nearly 1/2 acre.

I think I grabbed it from World Market ages ago. Never found a great place for it until I moved the table and plants up to a strange little catwalk/mezzanine to nowhere above our entry hallway.

5 yards of premium topsoil/compost delivered yesterday. Time to get cracking on setting up some new beds.

Those look like areas that someone has already patched. I'll wager that they popped again because of freeze-thaw. Putting more concrete or another patch on that would probably pop again. But seriously not a reason to rip a whole garage up. You could probably again DIY it and get some good...

I'd be curious to see what the "crumbling" looks like. Cracks to be honest aren't really that bad, it's when they start to show differential movement (like one side is higher than the other) or get bigger than say 1/4" wide that I would start looking for a root cause. My sunken and alligator...

I also have a much worse looking garage floor that still holds my cars just fine.

That honestly doesn't look too rough. I don't even think you would need to go with some crazy epoxy coating to make a difference. They make really heavy duty paint and it comes with the paint flecks like a shop floor. Would probably be 100 times cheaper than a whole new concrete slab.

That's what I was thinking. If they can be hobbled together from typical dimensional boards from a big box then maybe there is some savings. Albeit at the sacrifice of quality and finish possibly... Time to break out CAD and start tinkering...
