Roon will reindex your files if you move them around. I would move all the files onto a single drive and then have another drive for backup bs spreading them out over multiple drives.

My music library is on a 2TB external drive. I have another drive as a backup. It’s connected via USB to my Mac Mini.

The use case is a Decware Rachel tube amps. 6-8 watts. Forte should be good with those. I’m also considering some open baffle speakers.

You got me rethinking my lust for the Cornwall IV. I need to go and check out both in person again. I did many years ago, but I need to see/hear them again and think about what’s easier to get up to my office and be ideal for my 17’ x 17’ space.

I think the lifetime price was in the $500 USD range before, but don’t quote me. As far as settings, I leave it stock. No upsampling. I let Roon handle any needed adjustments depending on the device I’m streaming to. I do use the Crossfade and EQ settings when listening to headphones.

I found the sound improvement to be noteworthy when using Roon vs the delivered Qobuz app on my EverSolo DMP-A8.

Not spinning in the usual sense. I found a box of CDs in the garage and ripped them to Roon server. I haven’t listened to this album in at least 10 years, maybe 15. Forgot how good it is…

I had buzzing with a the stock UltraDeck cables into my DL MP7B preamp. That ended when I added a Bluejean cable from the TT to the MP7B.
