Record scratch: Vinyl company fires and sues CEO, CFO over RiNo plant
Get your popcorn ready!
Edit: also just realized that one of VMP’s lawyers was in my CU Law graduating class lol
Cleaning through the collection as I begin to transition the room from office to nursery. Just threw up a bunch of audiophile jazz for cheap if you're interested!
Just listened to last night’s CDT….wow. That is some beast. The patience employed is what I love to hear.
Middle section had remnants of Electric Miles. So cool.
Snuck away from Graceland to visit the Stax museum. What an awesome place! Highly recommend for anyone familiar with the Stax label or American soul music in general.
Wife and I are visiting Graceland with my in-laws. FIL is a huge Elvis fanboy and we’re staying at the “Guest House” hotel. This is like an Elvis fever dream.
I do not get the fandom. I could take or leave Elvis, but this is another level of fandom. Makes me wonder what will happen to this...
It’s distinctively different - hence the Cow Phunk. It’s white people funk.
I will say, one of my favorite funk moments is the 7/21/97 Gin, where Fishman is hootin and hollering like JB.
I am firmly in the “we’ve jumped the shark” bucket when it comes to massive box sets with tons of outtakes on vinyl. Like, how often are people listening to all of that stuff on vinyl?
I may be in the minority, but that’s the kind of stuff I would much rather stream.
Generally curious how many Gospel boxes they’ve sold. Cool idea, but majority of those records, though rarer, are very cheap $3-5 records.
37 people have it logged in their collection.
One of the most random things they’ve ever done, no?
