Day 24: Liet-Kynes
This planetologist has one foot in the Imperium and one in the culture of the Fremen. Play something that blends 2 (or more) genres.
This has gotten so many spins...
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues
This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody)
Girlfriend is Better
Swamp
Slippery People
Burning Down the House
Making Flippy Floppy
Pull Up the Roots
Moon Rocks
I Get Wild/Wild Gravity
My wife and I are thinking of attending the Brittany Howard/Michael Kiwanuka show somewhere out of state, since there isn't a Detroit area stop.
Has anyone here been to the Palace Theater in St Paul?
22 - Filmbook: In honor of these audio-visual books, play something that has a good music video to one or more of the songs (and share the video if its available online).
John Grant - Boy From Michigan
Great song and video
20 - Gholas: These clones are made from the bodies of the dead. Play something from a band or artist who returned from a long hiatus.
Masters of Reality - Deep in a Hole
This is definitely a good listen, but the first two MoR albums are magical. (to me anyway)
My late-night-before-bed show has been Brooklyn 99. I have ignored it this show until now. I'm almost done with season one and the balance of laughs and eye rolls is leaning slightly towards laughs. Great cast, so that definitely helps it along.
I always like to read reviews after finishing books, and I was surprised how many people call it a masterpiece.
Maybe I should read The Old Man and the Sea or Bell. But for now, I'm good.
Day 18: Crysknife
This blade is made from the tooth of giant sandworms. Play something by a solo artist that was once part of a band.
The Frames (and The Commitments kinda)
