Good call. Most of the reviews I’ve seen of the phonos in Luxman amps say they are very good but not quite as good as a quality separate. Best to test.

Hey, I’m a simple guy. If something works for you, you like the way it looks and it’s not a fraudulent drain on your wallet - buy it. I happen to prefer using balanced cables over RCA when the option is there, so that’s a plus, too.

Active crossovers were always a good thing sonically, but most manufacturers have had a hard time selling consumers on them outside of active speaker designs. Pro audio was more amenable.

The only thing that kept me from buying that first Luxman was the Class A heat load. In my small office, it would have been like adding a space heater! Congrats on coming back to the Luxman fold!

Sorry to hear this. You may be able to get the cartridge repaired by VAS in New Jersey, but it will be an additional expense. They will at least troubleshoot it for a nominal fee and let you decide if to proceed with repair. https://vasnyinc.com/repair-service/
