    Klipsch Speakers Thread

I've seen several commentators say that the leap in sound quality between the Forte IV and Cornwall IV is not as big as you'd might expect. The Cornwall is more efficient with a higher sensitivity.

I feel similarly about my Schiit Modi. It competes very well with my more expensive DACs.

    Incoming! The New Equipment Thread

Well-designed horns will not have old-design horn colorations. The Klipsch “mumps” were an important stride in reducing colorations in their designs. The speakers from Volti appear to perform well, too.

Funny - the entire Traveler turntable was less than $2K when it was introduced.

@Joe Mac is right, but this answer is better.

    Tonearm recommendations, thoughts, favorites?

That tonearm is yummy to me. I don’t think waiting for a Fat Boy will pay off that much. You can always sell the S tonearm if you choose to upgrade later. I’m glad to see VPI is moving to fill the Jelco market gap, but Sorane got there first! However, in the current import market, it would...

What I got from ChatGPT - it matches what I remember. “No, Torus Power is not owned by Bryston. Torus Power products are engineered and manufactured by Plitron Manufacturing Inc., a Canadian company specializing in toroidal transformers. Bryston has a longstanding relationship with Plitron...

I had that feeling about my record doctor, too. I could see scratches but did not hear them. Moved to a softer goat hair brush.

You know the answer to this one, even if it is distasteful. The Hana is not under MoFi warranty.

Cables - one of the most taboo subjects in audio

This is a very nice WBC cable - I'd buy them. What I like is the low capacitance and braided shield with a stranded center conductor, which should make it very flexible. Respectable Amphenol RCA plugs - no junk. What I like a bit better about the LC-2 from BJC is that it has a double-braided...

I had not heard about Coda Technologies for a loooong time. I had to look them up - the professional reviews appear good. Working with a 30-year-old company makes me less concerned about whether warranty work can be done, albeit shipping will be high. Although I'm a Bryston fan, Coda looks...

Very interesting. Hurst is well-known as a turntable motor supplier. U-Turn and VPI are among their customers.
